Synopsis
A glittering diamond, the promise of forever, and the hope that your future in-laws will move to a galaxy far, far away…sounds like a decadent recipe for eternal happiness, doesn’t it? All girls dream about their wedding day, fantasize about each and every gooey-delicious detail. It’s so easy to get scooped by the champagne bubbles and swallowed by our dreams.   But we all know the magical path toward happily ever after is not always sprinkled with pixie dust. Sometimes, we stumble over our plans for a perfect future and choke on the words promising forever. We watch the path take a defiant turn away from our blissful paradise because everybody has secrets, and skeletons, and fears.   And sometimes, being drunk in love isn’t always enough.

REVIEW

From Wedding Party antics to engagement party surprises even to illicit taboo affairs, there is a story for everyone in the Drunk in Love anthology.

Some of the stories left me hanging for more while others were quick but satisfying reads. A few of the authors in the anthology were new to me  and now that I feel introduced to their work, I'll definitely be looking into their past and upcoming books; especially those that are continuations of the short story in this anthology.

What I enjoyed most about this anthology was how each story had its own Love to it, and somehow the author wrote it in such a way that it was visible and left me affected in one way or another.

Another awesome thing about this anthology is the charity support it is giving with proceeds - while my child has never used St. Jude's or their amazing system - I know what it is like to struggle with finding good medical care for a sick child and not knowing how you are going to afford it.  That, in and of itself would make me give each and every one of these authors a high five and a hug. But truly their stories were worth the read and I was glad to have gotten the chance to see what they each brought to this anthology and get to know their writing style.
