Cover Design: DCP Designs
Release Date: January 9, 2017

Synopsis
Marlo … wild-eyed, untamed, and every single thing I’ve ever wanted from this life. I wasn’t ready for her back then. I was a stupid boy with adult feelings and no idea what to do with them. I squandered away every chance she gave me. Yes, love like ours either burns white hot or crumbles under the pressure. And now I’m back to sift through the rubble. Questions and excuses are two things I have in spades. What I need now are answers. Answers and Low. Always Low. My name is Ever Montgomery, and this is my story of love resurrected.

Review
Ever Over After is the stunning conclusion to Ever and Low's story that started in Low Over High - You do need to read book one first or you will be lost and not grasp the full story of these two.
As with book one (and really all of her books) J.A. DeRouen really gives us quite an emotional journey within this book. It's more than a love story, more than a romance, but also full of moments that teach us, about ourselves, about the characters, about forgiveness and so much more.   I was sucked into the story, needing to know what happened after book one ended and how things could or would be fixed. Could Marlo and Ever really figure it out and not only that, could they find their way back to each other.
I'm not going to spoil anything in this review, so I'll simply say that watching as Marlo fought against Ever's direct challenge of becoming a constant in her life again was equal parts amusing and bittersweet. Knowing why she didn't want to be drug back to the past with a reconnection and understanding why it was so important for him to find that connection again really had tug of war on my heartstrings.  I wanted Marlo and Ever both to be happy, and to find their way, but I also grasped how difficult of a road it would be for them.
As these two figure it all out and take a journey through the past, finding out things about each other they never knew, they find a way to start over, to form a relationship again with a bond that never went away, despite the desire for it to do so (at one point).  Their journey together wasn't easy or full of swoony moments all the time, but it was real and it fit them. It fit their story and wouldn't have been quite so beautifully tragic of a romantic tale had any part of it changed.
I loved the glimpses of other well loved characters from this series, seeing how their friendship still held strong, despite Marlo still hiding some of her past from them.   I loved how Marlo and Ever's present life intersected in many ways they didn't know about, it really added something more to the story, like fate was going to intervene at some point if they didn't figure it out themselves.
